Further, Kaleigh has experience working with adults, adolescents (13+), couples, and groups. Her areas of specialty include attachment and relational trauma, self worth and self esteem, self sabotage and problematic behaviours, unhelpful thinking patterns, addiction and substance abuse, relationship issues, depression and anxiety.
Kaleigh has a passion for delivering therapeutic interventions that address the social, emotional, relational, behavioural, and psychological needs of individuals in order to address presenting problems in a complete and holistic way. She believes in the connection between the mind, body and soul, and works to align all parts of self in order to help you better understand yourself and guide you into making transformational changes to your own life. She believes with the right tools, everyone has the power to be their own healer.
Clinically, Kaleigh follows an eclectic framework informed and influenced strongly by Psychodynamic Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). She uses an attachment focused, strengths-based, client-centred, recovery-oriented, and trauma-informed approach in treatment planning and providing optimal psychosocial care and psychoeducation.
Kaleigh’s commitment is to provide you with a safe, confidential, and supportive environment that emphasizes awareness, development, growth and change. Her goal is to empower people to break free from reactive cycles and create who they want to become in order to live authentic, healthy and meaningful lives.
Personally, Kaleigh loves to spend time in nature, especially near water, and with friends and family. She enjoys experiencing new things and travelling to new places. She has recently found her green thumb and developed a new hobby in horticulture. She likes to play group based sports, go hiking and swimming, and cook up a new recipe in the kitchen. Kaleigh isn’t afraid to show clients her true, authentic self and she believes modelling authentically allows for the magic of counselling to fully come to fruition.
